Great place. Stopped in after we got off the ferry with our 2 kids. Good selection and yummy food! Cant wait to go back.
Waited with our four way flashers on for 35 minutes only to never get our order taken. Tourists pulling in around us and getting their orders taken and having to put up with rude staff giving dirty looks as they walked past. Food was mediocre at the best of times to begin with. The kids liked it there but even they were disgusted with the way the staff had been. Good bye Gillis' Drive-in! Good luck feeding tourists who only stop in once.
Honestly went to this place my whole life loved it. Literally one of my best childhood memories come out of this place but I went there with my daughter and boyfriend last week food was great tell I had noticed the deep fried dill pickles weren't done so returned them the lady at the counter agreed with me offered me new ones I said no thank you I would just like my money back, then the so called "manager" comes in and says they are cooked and I'm wrong but She'll still give me my money back extremely rudely. She's seen they are not done or wouldn't just give me my money back was so unbearable and rude I asked to speak to some one above her or for a number then goes on to tell me that there is no one else to tell that she is the highest authority of the restaurant, so I asked if she was the owner she stated no I was like give me there number and she tells me no won't give it to me so we leave before finishing are meal because of her which was like $50 down the drain. Every employee looked terrified of her and I seriously hope the real owners see this and do something because trust me if it was my restaurant she wouldn't be my manager. No wonder no one goes any more.
Neat old drive-in experience Girls come to your car take your order then deliver it to your car. Or you can eat in. Kinda a flash from the past. Food was good and service was great. Would recommend.
